Accreditation Gap Assessments and Development of Costed Action Plans for The Bahamas Development Bank (BDB) and Access Accelerator

Support the accreditation process of the Bahamas Development Bank (BDB) and Access Accelerator-Small Business Development Centre (A2-SBDC) to the GCF.

Goals

  • Establish a structured, GCF project pipeline that supports the mobilization of climate finance by identifying, prioritizing, and organizing climate mitigation, adaptation, and cross-cutting projects aligned with national strategies, goals, and priorities.  
  • The support focuses on preparing the Small Business Development Centre (Access Accelerator) for Green Climate Fund accreditation and positioning the Bahamas Development Bank as a leading institution in climate finance mobilization , ensuring both entities can effectively navigate the GCF architecture to mobilize resources for sustainable projects in The Bahamas.  
  • The project is structured into distinct consultancy methodologies for each institution, within which SURECO utilizes its proprietary AI-based gap assessment and prioritization tools to systematically evaluate compliance, capacity, and project viability.
